**Job Overview**
**Duties**
The Summer Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engaging programs and activities for children and families in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
The essential job duties include:
- **Program Planning and Execution**: Develop and implement programs and activities, ensuring safety, quality, and alignment with organizational objectives.
- **Community Engagement**: Act as the primary liaison for participating families, providing support, resources, and effective communication to enhance their experience.
- **Operational Support**: Manage logistics, preparation and setup of supplies to ensure program efficiency and effectiveness.
- **Financial and Administrative Responsibilities**: Assist in managing registrations, payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with the Executive Director to align programs with strategic objectives, providing feedback and reports on program outcomes.
- **Social Media**: Create and post content related to programs, activities, and events.
- **Scheduling**:Track and Coordinate Birthday Party requests.
**Qualifications**
- Academic: High School Diploma (ECE, SSW diploma or degree in a related field of study preferred)
- Certifications: CPR First Aid Level C, Food Handler's Certification
**Experience**
- Experience working with children, families and diverse populations
- Basic knowledge of child development and parenting skills
**Additional Skills**
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Group facilitation and presentation skills
- Computer skills
- Competent in oral and written communication
- Knowledge of the community
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Sensitivity and non-judgemental attitude
- Flexibility with regards to duties and scheduling
