**The opportunity**:
The Project Manager is the primary contact for customers, and will be responsible for managing delivery teams, including subcontractors, leading to successful delivery for each project to ensure customer satisfaction, establishing a solid working relationship and building on that foundation to develop future engagements.

Some of your daily activities will include:

- Prepare and provide quotes for Linguistic & Translation Services to customers, based on existing contracts or service catalogs.
- Set up and analyze linguistic and translation projects, utilizing SDL Trados Studio, leveraging translation memory and neural translations.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and productivity through AI and ML technologies.
- Coordinate project staffing, from notification to translator selection, scheduling, and payment authorization.
- Handle customer and team inquiries, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure quality assurance using tools like Antidote Corrector.
- Deliver projects that meet or surpass client expectations and achieve targeted profitability.
- Prepare customer invoices, maintain billing records, and manage customer relationships for assigned accounts.
- Contribute to RFx responses and business development by identifying and tracking new opportunities within accounts.
- Maintain multilingual glossaries and Translation Memory specific to projects.
- Stay informed on advancements in deep learning and neural network models to improve translation accuracy and fluency.

**You are great at**:

- Managing multiple projects simultaneously and in several language pairs.
- Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Managing projects so that they are delivered on time, on budget, and within identified scope.
- Handling rapidly changing priorities with great effectiveness.
- Addressing issues & escalations appropriately.
- Identifying and tracking new opportunities within accounts including the participation in business development
- Coaching, mentoring, and supervising project team members and contractors, fostering a positive and accountable work environment.

**What it takes**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing translation projects.
- Bilingual - must be fully fluent and proficient in both French and English. A keen eye for detail and an excellent command of both languages will be essential to quality check all work before returning it to the client.
- Proven experience with linguistic projects beyond translation, such as localization, DTP, technical writing, linguistic validation, terminology management, transcription, subtitling and dubbing, PDF remediation, multimedia projects, etc.
- Experience managing a large network of translators (50+ individuals).
- Proficiency in managing government clients.
- Expertise in RWS Trados Studio, MultiTerm, and MultiTrans Flow or FlowFit Translation Management Systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills in both French and English.
- Experience delivering projects under CGSB 131.10, ISO 17100, and ISO 18587 standards (post-editing of MT output).
- Solid grasp of CAT tools, AI, NMT technologies, translation memory, terminology extraction and terminology management, and MT post-editing.
- Experience growing accounts.

Desirable skills:

- Skilled at leveraging technology and enhancing connectivity between different translation tools and systems (including quality analysis and TM systems) to ensure high-caliber and uniform translations.
- Experience in providing training data for NLP to enhance translation accuracy and fluency.
- Background in PDF remediation projects.
