**Job Overview**:
As a **Chef** at **LaMochi**, you will play a key role in creating and delivering exceptional Japanese fusion cuisine in a fast-paced, takeout-oriented setting. We’re looking for an experienced, dedicated cook with a passion for innovative, high-quality food.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and cook dishes and desserts in accordance with our menu.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet company standards.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure continuous kitchen operations.
- Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of food and supplies to minimize waste.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Manage kitchen operations, including coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
**Qualifications**:
- 3+ years of experience working in a restaurant, cafe, or food pavilion.
- Proven experience in preparing Japanese fusion cuisine is preferred.
- Valid Food Handler Safety Certificate.
- Basic cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment.
