**Job Summary**

The Pet Care Specialist is responsible for caring for the pets with compassion. Pet Care Specialists provide various types of care to animals including feeding, monitoring, socializing. In addition to caring for the pets, Pet Care Specialists are responsible for helping clean and maintain the facility.

**Schedule**

Our current schedule needs help from Saturday-Tuesday

Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Monday & Tuesday: 7:00am - 3:00pm

**Team Member Perks**:
Work with dogs & cats daily

Eligibility for multiple increases yearly

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for supervising and taking care of pets while they are at Sturgeon County Kennels.

Providing pets' meals, fresh water, and appropriate bedding

General facility cleaning including pet dishes and laundry

Monitoring pet activities and behaviors

Cleaning pet indoor kennels and outdoor runs

Bathing and brushing dogs

Interacting with clients checking-in and picking up pets

Provide information about animals, such as behavior, habitat, breeding habits, or facility activities.

Ensure inventory is stocked.

Other duties as assigned

**Job Qualifications**

Energetic, caring, and passionate about animals

Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multi-task

Attention to detail and ability to observe animal behaviors daily

Able to clean pet accommodations / facility to maintain our high standards

Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds

Ability to stand up to 8 hours

Operate basic computer software

Prior pet experience preferred

Flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holiday

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 32-40 per week

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
