As an employer of choice, working for Halton Region offer many great rewards: - Definded benefit pension plan (OMERS). - Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. - Employee Recognition Progam. - Supportive culture with ongoing wellness program promoting health, fitness and well-being. **Posting ID**: 4547 **Department**:Digital & Information Services **Division**: Digital Workplace & Technology **Pay Range**:$77,495 - $96,868 **Job Type**: Contract < 1 Year **Contract Duration**: up to 12 months **Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week **Work Location**:Halton Regional Centre - 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville **Employee Group**: OCT **Posting Date**: October 8, 2025 **Application Deadline**: October 15, 2025 **Job Summary**: Reporting to the Supervisor - Service Desk, this position will be responsible for providing technical support to all clients across many regional facilities. **Duties & Responsibilities**: - Provide on-site, In-Person support for computers, printers and peripherals, requiring travel to multiple locations throughout Halton region. - Support all mobile hardware (Ipad, tablets, air cards, cell phones), software, and associated wireless infrastructure including Citrix and VPN. - Schedule, configure and rollout New Computer Hardware to all staff for a life-cycle upgrade and update CMDB asset management accordingly. - Perform hardware moves and rollouts throughout organization. - Regularly update asset management inventory to reflect organizational changes as well as employee status changes. - Maintain network accounts and Exchange accounts using Active Directory, Azure Ad and Exchange online. - Provide Av support setups throughout the organization where needed. Attend and assist with regular Council meetings providing camera and Av Support. - Knowledge of Crestron control panel, Roland and Epiphan pearl equipment used for audio video control, familiar with Panasonic and Sony video streaming and camera equipment. **Additional Duties and Responsibilities**: - Provide support to various Poly studio and Samsung tv devices throughout the building. - Organize and maintain a safe and orderly lab at all times. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Skills & Qualifications**: **Essential** - Community college/University diploma in Computer Technology. - Two (2) years previous Hardware technician experience and five (5) years’ experience supporting various hardware and software in a networked environment. - Knowledge of Computer and mobile hardware devices and wireless technologies - In-depth knowledge of Windows 11 as well as M365 and av equipment. - Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune and Microsoft Exchange. **Preferred** - Call tracking systems such as HEAT. - Knowledge of ITIL best practices or ITIL certification. - Poly hybrid meeting room technologies - Knowledge of Crestron control panel, Roland and Epiphan pearl equipment used for audio video control, familiar with - Panasonic and Sony video streaming and camera equipment. **Working/ Employment Conditions**: **Working Conditions** - Flexibility in working hours will be required. - Must be able to perform all the necessary physical tasks associated with the position. - Travel will be required; incumbent must provide their own transportation. **Employment Conditions** - The incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their driver’s license by their first day of employment. - In accordance with requirements in Ontario Regulation 191/11 - Integrated Accessibility Standards and the Ontario Human Rights Code, Halton Region will accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
