The Heritage Nursing Home is a 201- bed Long Term Care Facility located on Queen Street in East in the Leslieville Area, between Jones Avenue and Leslie Street.

The Heritage is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care, and is fully Accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Our mission is to provide our residents a home where they can live with respect, dignity, privacy and choice, free of abuse.

Our residents come from many cultures, and have a wide range of ages from young to old.

What they all have in common is a need for long term care. We work hard to give the best resident care and best resident experience possible
Prepare and serves food for the residents; maintain the highest quality standard of food production, cleanliness, and sanitation standard of work area and equipment. Main Duties
- Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences. Observes time limits for meal serving. Maintains foods at proper serving temperature.
- Follow WHIMIS and MSDS guidelines using chemicals, cleaning and sanitizing agents.
- Perform cleaning duties as assigned or, as per the posted cleaning schedule for that day
- Notify Supervisor / Cook if food / supply inventory is low;
- Prepare and deliver nourishment
- Prepare dining areas by setting tables, filling condiment containers and delivering food to tables as necessary;
- Report safety hazards immediately to the supervisor;
- Clean up dining room, wash equipment, collect and remove garage from kitchen;
- Follow the assigned daily cleaning and work activity schedule;
- Attend staff meetings, committee meetings and in-service training as required; Qualifications
- Food Service Worker certificate or diploma & Food Handlers certificate;
- Previous experience in long term care environment preferred
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; Able to multi-task in a face pace work environment;
- Must be able to read, write, understand and speak English
- Able to work flexible hours and weekends

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $21.40 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evenings
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)
