**Your opportunity**:
Working with a dynamic team and reporting into the Director, Student Engagement, you will be dedicated to the enrichment of co-curricular life on campus, focused on developing programming to support Graduate students.
As the Student Life Coordinator, Graduate Programs & Outreach, your role will consist of developing, coordinating, and evaluating the department’s co-curricular, experiential learning opportunities with an emphasis on Graduate student development and success. This will involve fostering an open and inclusive environment; organizing and facilitating student development workshops; recruiting and training work-study students and developing innovative programming for Graduate students at the St. George campus.
The Student Life Coordinator, Graduate Programs & Outreach, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing research and assessment strategies (e.g., literature reviews, surveys, focus groups, needs assessments, learning outcomes) to ensure the University’s co-curricular graduate programs both reflect the latest knowledge and best practices, revising and developing programs as necessary. Your work will involve extensive partnerships and communication within the Orientation, Transition and Engagement, campus, tri-campus stakeholders and external community partners.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
1. Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities.
2. Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives.
3. Promoting experiential learning opportunities.
4. Facilitating educational workshops and seminars.
5. Screening and making referrals to academic advising and learning skills programs and other resources or services.
6. Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials.
7. Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students.
8. Training and coaching student life staff and student leaders.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's Degree in higher education or leadership or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have formal training and/or education in community development in higher education or anti-oppression and equity.
- Minimum four years of working experience in student life, student development, community development, and program development, preferably within a post-secondary institution.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities, outreach and using principles of equity and anti-oppression, understanding of student issues, advising and transition.
- Must possess the ability to relate to students in a manner which builds trust and confidence and be able to demonstrate the ability to implement programs.
- Must be comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
- Must have excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Off
