As an ORT in the operating room, you will be responsible for providing nursing care in the intraoperative phase. You will be responsible for both the scrub and circulating role. Strong communication and collaboration skills are important; problem-solving skills using critical thinking, time management and adaptability or imperative; leadership and conflict resolution skills are essential to this role.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. **Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Completion of a perioperative nursing course is required. Equivalent OR experience will be considered. Ability to wear lead apron radiograph protection and any personal protective equipment for an extended period. Ability to stand scrubbed for hours to support the surgical team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Previous perioperative nursing experience within the last 5 years.
