**Position Details**:
**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and execute key elements of GCR’s advocacy role that add value to the CCG brand and enhance the strategic focus on Member (and public) safety
- In-depth project and event planning, execution, measurements, budget management, and debriefs
- Identify, develop and maintain government, and industry stakeholder relationships while advocating for the overall mission of the organization
- Foster collaboration and cooperation among internal and external stakeholders while exercising diplomacy and conflict resolution tactics to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive issues
- Coordination of regular and annual marketing and communications with the ongoing focus on raising public and stakeholder awareness of the organization and its work through multi-faceted communications efforts
- Bring together competing themes into a coherent policy framework, provide policy/issue recommendations and act as an expert on issues impacting industry (i.e. traffic/road safety, infrastructure, mobility, consumer protection and environment & internal CCG operations)
- Ongoing research and knowledge growth to keep CCG’s programs, issues and initiatives aligned with current trends and data in Manitoba, and to identify new opportunities

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in political science, Communications or a related field is mandatory.
- Post-secondary Certification from Government Relations/PR/Corporate Communications program, and/or membership in related associations an asset.
- Experience in areas including; Public policy/Public affairs, Public relations/corporate communications, Not-for-profit, Social media and digital communications,Stakeholder relations
- Experience in Critical writing.
- Experience in research and data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
