As a qualified carpenter, you know how to carry out your work safely, positively, and efficiently.

We expect you will bring the following to the job.

**Experience & Certification**

  • Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience
  • Experience in a supervisory role is an asset
  • Red Seal certification is a bonus

**Core skills**

  • Proficient in reading and building from plans
  • Strong knowledge of building architectural foundations and wall structures
  • Skilled in framing, structural framing, and backfilling
  • Competent in installing building elevations, metalwork, and cladding to a high standard
  • Experienced in finishing carpentry, including hanging doors, installing panels, trims, timber ceilings, and hardware at a high level of expectation

**Technical Knowledge**

  • Understanding of technical specifications, including blueprints, drawings, and spec sheets, etc.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of building science and building codes in the Lower Mainland

**Communication & Professionalism**

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive demeanor while working
  • Dependable, able to work independently, and un supervised
  • Willingness to learn from others and an openness to training juniors in carpentry skills
  • Strong work ethic, reliable and natural attention to detail
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Greater Vancouver

**Compensation**

  • $35 - $40/hour based on skill level and experience, the final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience
  • 2 weeks paid vacation per year
