**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and efficient running of all equipment at North Temp Glass. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our building. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all machines and recommend upgrades to current equipment if required. The supervisor will be responsible for machine uptime and maintenance. This position will be a hands-on position with 70% of the time being spent on the floor working with our maintenance mechanic, and 30% in the office doing procurement of machine parts, scheduling of repairs and coordinating machine downtime with production.
- **Supervisory Responsibilities**:_
- Will oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of our Maintenance Mechanic
- **Duties/Responsibilities**:_
- Is accountable for the safe operation of our equipment including overseeing all PSSR’s (Pre-Start Safety Reviews)
- Ensures maintenance staff is trained on the safe operation of equipment, and on LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures
- Reviews maintenance requirements by machine and implements a preventative maintenance schedule
- Will liaison with all machinery suppliers to co-ordinate spare parts ordering, technical assistance, preventative maintenance, and product support as required
- Will be responsible to procurement of spare parts for the machines as well as consumable items such as grinding and Polishing wheels.
- Ensures timely resource allocation (mechanics, machines) and support in general to the industrialization of new products and continuous improvement of existing products and lines
- Is the guarantor of the strict observance of all standards related to machineries and manufacturing processes regarding safety, quality assurance policy and ergonomics
- Ensures that our buildings are well maintained and comply will all code requirements and local regulations
- Complies with all H&S requirements of North Temp including wearing of mandatory PPE
- **Required Skills & Abilities**:_
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Millwriting ticket preferred
- Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
- Strong analytical and negotiating skills
- Certified H&S Professional preferred
- **Education & Experience**:_
- Post-secondary education in a mechanical field an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC’s preferred
- Knowledge of CNC’s, Polishing machine, Tempering ovens definite asset
- **Physical Requirements**:_
- May entail prolonged periods of walking & standing
- Sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
- **Key Performance Indicators**:_
- Improving the system to eliminate the issues such as CNC programs missing, programs not readable, rakes has to be removed, etc.

Avoid unplanned machine downtimes

**Salary**: $31.00-$34.00 per hour
