**Working for the Department of Medicine**

The Department of Medicine is the largest department in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Albertawith over 250 academic faculty members and over 400 trainees (graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and residents). The Department of Medicine's core mission is to undertake outstanding education, research and high-quality clinical care to provide the best possible health outcomes for Albertans. We have 14 divisions that work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary, multicultural and ethnically diverse collegial environment.

**Position and Duties**

The Osman laboratory is searching for a dedicated post-doctoral fellow to join our group of highly talented individuals. Our team is aimed at delineating the molecular mechanisms of fibrosis in systemic sclerosis.

**Qualifications**
- PhD or MD with 3+ years of experience in the laboratory.
- Other skills include a strong understanding of immunology, and experience working with and handling blood, fluids, and tissues.
- Self-motivated, and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Analyzing complex data using statistical software programs.
