Wawel Villa Seniors Residences is looking for a Housekeeping Aide to join our great team environment on a casual basis.

Wawel Villa is a charitable non-for-profit Retirement Residence that provides a home-like and caring atmosphere for residents and staff. We offer affordable assisted retirement living on a picturesque ravine lot in the village of Clarkson just steps from public transport and the shops and restaurants of Lakeshore Rd. West. Our staff is committed to making a positive difference in people's lives. As the name suggests, Wawel Villa is rooted in the Polish tradition, but we are open to all seniors.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
The housekeeper works under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor to provide housekeeping services to the senior residents at Wawel Villa in a professional and considerate manner. Must be willing to work 8 hour shifts, including rotational weekends and holidays.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience in a wide variety of housekeeping tasks including: cleaning rooms; changing beds; laundry; cleaning washrooms; dusting; mopping and more.
- Physical demands include: ability to work under pressure; repetitive tasks; handling heavy loads; combination of sitting, standing, walking; standing for extended periods; walking; bending; crouching and kneeling.
- Mental demands include: reading text; numeracy; communication; working with others; problem solving; decision making; critical thinking; job task planning and organizing; significant use of memory; continuous learning and dealing with seniors.

**OTHER DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Experience in facility cleaning.
- Ability to communicate in English and Polish is an asset
- Previous experience in a Retirement or LTC facility.
- Successful applicants must provide current police check-vulnerable sector screening and medical clearance regarding current immunization status.
