Our work environment includes: - Modern office setting - Work-from-home days - Growth opportunities - Regular social events Our Ottawa office is searching for a Mechanical Draftsperson to support TEI's engineering teams in the development and implementation of custom energy recovery systems for commercial and industrial customers. The primary responsibility of the Mechanical Draftsperson will include the generation of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement (GA) drawings of HVAC mechanical/piping systems that meet TEI and industry standards. In addition, a Mechanical Draftsperson will be responsible for generating fabrication drawings of TEI proprietary direct contact heat recovery equipment and provide drafting support for US based manufacturer Boiler Equipment Inc. (BEI) in manufacturing process of a family of proprietary indirect heat recovery units. **Principal Duties**: Support multiple project teams in the following tasks: - Prepare project P&IDs with input from engineering team - Prepare project drawings for construction including General Arrangements of new equipment, piping and ductwork layouts c/w supports and installation details as per industry standards - Prepare 2D and 3D fabrication drawings of TEI and BEI proprietary equipment & engineered equipment skids - Work with vendor’s equipment shop drawings and client's provided drawings of existing mechanical HVAC systems - Conduct field surveys/measurements of existing equipment and systems as required - Participate in weekly coordination meetings with project teams **Qualifications**: If you have the following qualifications and are looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity, we would like to hear from you. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical / structural drafting is desired.
