Key Accountabilities

Program Delivery (e.g., Traffic Safety Education Outreach Programs, Provincial Child Passenger Safety Program, Workplace Traffic Safety Programs, Traffic Safety Enforcement Services, and Traffic Safety Grant Programs)- Facilitates the day-to-day delivery of traffic safety community outreach programs to our stakeholders, customers, and the public.- Manages the delivery of traffic safety grant programs, including the Provincial Traffic Safety Fund Grant, Community Grant, and Car Seat Grant.- Oversees the specialized delivery of traffic safety community outreach programming in Saskatchewan Tribal Councils, affiliated First Nations communities, and independent Nations.- Oversees the program delivery of the provincial child passenger safety and technician certification program.- Shares knowledge-based road safety expertise to support community outreach activities and enhance stakeholder engagement.- Assists with the management of the Photo Speed Enforcement program and enforcement strategy.- Oversees the administration of Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP), Report Impaired Drivers (RID) Program, High Visibility Traffic Enforcement, Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) Program, Joint Forces Operations activities, and Law Enforcement Site, Training & Resources (LESTR) portal.- Coordinates traffic safety programming with direct and indirect support from internal departments (e.g., Brand & Advertising, Marketing, Media Relations, Communications, Driver Programs, Driver Development, Carrier Safety, Corporate Communications, Traffic Safety Program Evaluation).
External Stakeholder Relationship Management provincial municipal agencies, SARM, law enforcement, Saskatchewan Safety Council, Saskatchewan Education and Health Officials, Child Passenger Safety Associations of Canada, Traffic Injury Research Foundation, MADD, SADD, Northern Alcohol Strategy, Acquired Brain Injury Services, Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, Saskatchewan Workers Compensation Board)- Builds and maintains relationships and/or partnerships with external agencies and other stakeholders with mutual interests in raising public awareness and commitment to road safety.- Solicits stakeholder information and feedback to initiate and recommend new and/or improved divisional and corporate policies, legislative changes, training, resources, procedures, and program deliverables.- Engages with external agencies and other stakeholders to assess impacts of proposed business and legislative changes, including coordinating and/or conducting public consultations and the Red Tape Reviews.- Maintains ongoing communication and works to improve communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.- Participates as a member of or as required in industry committees, such as Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan (CTSS) Operational Committee, Non-Commissioned Officers Committee, Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police/SGI Committee, Traffic Safety Working Group, and Auto Fund Training Steering Committee.
Program/Policy Development and Support (e.g., Photo Speed Enforcement Programs, Community Grant and Education Programs, Workplace Traffic Safety Programs, Indigenous and New Canadian Outreach Programming, Traffic Safety Enforcement Programs)- Assists with identifying emerging trends, analyzes and interprets data, and identifies opportunities for improvements and program enhancements.- Assesses the privacy impact of outreach programs and policies and prepares privacy impact assessments (PIA).- Assists in preparing legislative and regulatory amendments in conjunction with Legal.- Works with SGI management, other government departments, and other external road safety groups to develop new traffic safety programs and policies.- Reviews, develops, and consults on recommended changes to legislation, programs, policies, procedures, and curriculum related to road users and driving behaviors, traffic safety education and enforcement, and road safety infrastructure.- Assists in developing and implementing change management plans and supports program/policy changes and continuous process improvement.- Interprets and applies policy, legislation, and regulations on a case-by-case basis and liaises with stakeholders on legislative issues related to the AF.- Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of new/improved road safety information and education enforcement, and driver compliance programs.- Supports financial analysis of programs, including monitoring program costs.- Manages the administratio
