**Professional Excavators & Construction Inc.** currently an immediate opening for **Laborer **position within our Earthworks Business Unit.

**Requirements**:

- Assist foremen, lead hands and equipment operators.
- Operate small tools and equipment, including measurement equipment, hammers, drills, plate packers, pumps etc.
- Direct construction, public and pedestrian traffic around/through work zones.
- Ensuring all work is completed within specifications and according to blueprints
- Maintaining tools, cords and equipment so they are safe and in good working order
- Maintaining work areas in a clean and orderly manner
- Physical strength and coordination to perform manual labour in all types of environments and conditions
- Ability to comfortable lift up to 80lbs unassisted.
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work safely and stay alert at all times
- Pass mandatory Drug, Alcohol and Fitness Testing
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 5) and reliable transportation

**Professional Excavators & Construction Inc.** is currently recruiting for an experienced **Grading/Earthworks Operating Foreman**.

The Grading/Earthworks Operating Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of their crew in all aspects. The Foreman will provide leadership and ensure the safety and productivity of their crews and equipment. They are responsible for ensuring that all employees do their job skillfully and efficiently, and that assigned work progresses on schedule.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years related experience in the civil construction industry
- 3+ years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisory position
- Proficient in all aspects of earthwork; mass excavation, detailed excavation, sub-grade prep, material management and gravelling.
- Must be able and willing to operate various sizes of excavators and skid steers
- Ability to operate graders is an asset.
- Promote a safe work culture and ensure all crew members maintain safe working conditions - Leads by example
- Environmentally conscious and respectful
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor crew members
- Effective advance planning and problem solving skills
- Clear understanding of drawings and blue prints for project scope and identify with superintendent potential scope gaps.
- Ability to manage crews and control project costs.
- Ability to look ahead 3-weeks and pro-actively identify issues
- Perform daily costing and utilize resources to maximize profitability
- Complete daily reports, documents and paperwork as required by the company
- Must be able to meet all company/customer safety requirements and applicable policies
- Maintain company image and site cleanliness
- Ability and willingness to operate various types of heavy equipment
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Analytical problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Pass mandatory Drug and Medical Screening
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 5)
