**Analyst, Portfolio Management (RCFi)**

CMLS Financial, one of Canada’s largest commercial mortgage lenders, is looking for an Analyst to join our growing Construction Finance group. The role includes direct support for CMHC’s Rental Construction Finance Initiative (“RCFi”). Under this mandate, CMLS provides project specific underwriting, structuring, loan recommendations, and loan advance administration for a federally funded national purpose-built multi-residential affordable housing program. Specific activities include: assisting with conversion of construction loans to term loans, annual reviews and portfolio monitoring support throughout the post construction period.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Construction Finance, you will be joining a hardworking and dynamic team of Analysts, Funders and Account Managers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with loan conversions from construction to term and related post funding account management requirements/requests
- Obtain and evaluate post construction specific financing information (i.e. permits, professional certificates, insurance, rent rolls, leases, financial statements, etc.)
- Assist with the collection and tracking of financial and property information required to complete loan reviews and other portfolio management projects
- Perform basic mortgage underwriting/operating statement analysis
- Contact borrower clients to obtain additional information and/or explanations on provided financial information
- Communicate with RCFi team members, CMLS management and CMHC to outline portfolio strength/weakness and respond to questions as necessary
- Act as a contact/liaison between the CMHC RCFi underwriting team and the Portfolio Surveillance and Special Mandates Team on account management matters
- Maintain positive relations with key corporate partners including CMHC, solicitors, borrowers and 3rd party professionals
- Assist with other projects as assigned to support growth and strategic initiatives

**This role is for you if**:

- You are bilingual in both French and English (both verbal and written communication skills) (preferred)
- You have completed/in final year of an undergraduate degree in one of the following concentrations: business administration, accounting, finance, real estate, or economics
- You are looking for career growth within a well-established commercial mortgage lender
- You are very results-driven and possess strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- You take ownership of your work and demonstrate a high degree of accountability and commitment at all times
- You have a proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team within a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- You have a passion for real estate and/or commercial lending. An understanding of construction development or multi-unit residential properties is also considered an asset
