**Position**

The Records Analyst provides senior-level support with Records & Information management requirements to various business units and leadership across University Services, Operations & Finance (USOF). This independent role involves evaluating, recommending, implementing, and maintaining records management systems. Key responsibilities include conducting inventories, developing procedures, training users, and supporting system maintenance to ensure effective records management.

**Duties**
- Acts as a liaison between user departments and the records center regarding issues of retention and disposition
- Is the main point of contact and resource support for the business unit(s), reviewing and prioritizing requests for information and responding in a timely manner
- Identifies opportunities for RIM process improvements
- Completes orientation, training and cross-training of new employees and users
- Confers with clerical and supervisory personnel to gather suggestions for improvements and to detect potential records management problems
- Analyzes usage of the RIM system to ensure compliance and triggers need for training
- Collects and analyzes statistics and data to ensure accuracy and completeness of information requests

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Minimum High School Diploma; Two (2) year diploma in Office Administration or equivalent, with specialized course work in records management, business law, business management, and/or computer technology preferred
- Thorough knowledge of information/records management practices and procedures
- Intermediate to expert level of competence using MS Office Suite, and Google
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information

**Preferred Qualifications**
- 2-3 years experience in a records management environment
- Experience working with specialized records management software
