The Specialist, Ad Product and Technology reports to the Manager, Digital Advertising Technology and plays a crucial role within the Digital team structure. This role participates in the planning, implementation and maintenance of all Rogers digital ad technologies, sites, products, designs, builds and platforms. He/ She is the point person for problem-solving ad-related technology issues and questions.
**What you will do...**
- Support Sales, Finance and Web Development teams on all ad tech projects.
- Be an expert of our ad server’s capabilities, reporting metrics, future enhancements and understand how they relate to the digital landscape.
- Identify technical requirements to ensure all ad product solutions meet sales, finance and clients’ desired level of excellence.
- Provide insight when choosing new ad technology systems and provide feedback and schedules for implementation.
- Advocate for advertising clients’ needs through all stages of a site development or redesign.
- Test and evaluate new types of ad products before they are made available to sell.
- Meet and coordinate with third party vendors as required.
- Work with the Digital Partnerships team to onboard and integrate exclusive international publishers into our ad network through ad tagging, testing, and product building.
- Document and update tech stack architecture, processes and workflows
- Work closely with the Manager of Ad Operations to develop campaign workflow (including campaign set up, optimizations and troubleshooting) and assist in the training of Ad Operation Specialists for new ad executions and processes.
- Provide QA support during site launches or updates.
- Provide technical support for Audience and Programmatic teams with a clear understanding of their business idiosyncrasies.
- Analyze ad server reports to identify ad tagging issues.
- Organize, consolidate, and make sense of large amounts of data through
**What you will bring...**
- Some experience in ad operations
- Ability to work on simultaneous initiatives
- Exceptional communication skills and able to work well with a diverse range of personalities
- Knowledge of online ad serving across web, mobile and video platforms
- HTML, CSS and Javascript knowledge are essential
- Experience analyzing network traffic calls using Developer Tools, Charles Proxy or other similar tools
- Experience with Google Ad Manager, Operative, and SSP platforms are an asset
- Comfort and experience within a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Able to pull reports and analyze data to back up assumptions and drive results.
- Independent self starter
- Understands technical issues and able to communicate effectively with technical teams
- French language knowledge an asset
