Assistant Project Manager

**Your role**

Join our team as a Project Manager with the Southern Ontario Business Unit

In this role, you will contribute to our client's successes by helping them build amazing workplaces, businesses, and communities around the Southern Ontario and GTA regions. You will bring a wealth of experience having managed construction projects in the corporate, and retail sectors

**Responsibilities**:

- Work alongside experienced project managers to learn the keys to client relationship building and successful project delivery
- Provide project support to Project Managers by performing schedule updates, maintaining project controls, developing progress reports and preparing tender and contract documents
- Attend various project meetings, capturing accurate action items and key decisions in meeting minutes
- Provide a communication path between the Project Manager and other project stakeholders
- Ensure that project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System
- You are charismatic, curious and eager to learn and strive to continuously improve

Qualifications:

- A university degree or College diploma in Architecture Engineering or Construciton (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
- 1 to 3 years of experience in project coordination and management for projects in the corporate, retail, and financial sectors
- Knowledge of construction contracts and procurements contracts and procurements processes
- A quality mindset with strong documentation and reporting skills
- Strong relationships building skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Desire to learn from project managers to grow and drive projects
- Knowledge in the design and operation of building systems inlcuding HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical distrubtion and building automation
- Strong knowledge of various project and construction delivery methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft products such as excel, project and work
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, services, and operational processes an asset
- Experience with programs of work across multiple project locations such as signage, IT, Wifi, is an asset
- Confidence participating and contributing to meetings and interfacing with various client stakeholder
- Willingness to travel to various project sites and Colliers Project Leaders offices in Southern Ontario when needed
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
