**Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist healthcare providers in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms and ensuring necessary medical supplies are available.
- Escorting patients to exam rooms, conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking vital signs, taking medical histories and performing physical exams if required.
- Measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, O2 saturation, temperature, and pulse.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments and follow-up visits.
- Giving injections or vaccinations as directed by the physician.
- Able to interface with public health regarding vaccination procurement
- Helping the physician during exams and minor surgical procedures, which may include providing instruments or preparing the patient.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding the outcome of their initial assessment and answer any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals & staffs to ensure comprehensive patient care and support.
- Cleaning examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, and managing the inventory of medical supplies.
- Entering patient information into electronic medical records and maintaining paper files.

**Skills**
- Previous experience at least 2 years in a family physician office is highly desirable, providing familiarity with clinical procedures and protocols.
- Must be proficient in PS Suite EMR
- Strong patient care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience in medication administration, ensuring compliance with established guidelines for safety and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues. This Clinical Assistant position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals in a dynamic clinical setting.

Pay: $18.18-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
