**Job Summary**

Responsible for assisting with the general care of the campus gardens, trees and lawns under close

supervision. Work is routine and performed in accordance with established procedures.

**Accountabilities**

1. Perform a variety of outdoor maintenance duties including: grass cutting, litter collection, waste removal, watering of plants, turf and garden maintenance, under the direction of the Gardeners.

2. Assist with the planting of trees and shrubs, under the direction of the Gardeners.

3. Assist with the upkeep of ground equipment, under the direction of the Gardeners.

4. Maintain daily records and provide updates on tasks.

**Qualifications**

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: No previous experience is required.

**Working Conditions**

Work is completed under close supervision and immediate guidance is available.

Work is performed in an outdoor environment with exposure to inclement weather, dirt, dust, odours and garbage.

Required to stand, walk and work in awkward physical positions for prolonged periods of time when performing outdoor maintenance duties.

Ability to lift 30 lbs.
