Manufacturing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Plant Manger. The Plant Manger is responsible for the overall management of the manufacturing operations. Plant operations accountabilities include, production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, training and development.
**DUTIES**:
- Manage the operations and maintenance staff to ensure timely production and distribution of products within quality standards, high uniformity, and optimum production costs.
- Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth; provide motivation and career enhancement for all employees.
- Oversee the mixing and blending raw materials to produce paint batches of specified color, consistency, and quality
- Build continuous improvement strategies in the processes
- Confirm cartons, carton seals, code date, and correct components are used.
- Perform the QC for each and prepare the proper documentation
- Develop work teams focused on meeting the strategic goals of the business
- Manage human and capital resources.
**SKILLS, INTERESTS, VALUES**:
- Good health and stamina.
- A high degree of co-ordination and manual dexterity.
- The ability to work steadily and safely in a fast pace environment.
- The ability to perform routine tasks, while remaining alert and flexible.
- The ability to read and understand written specifications and instructions.
- Some mechanical aptitude for maintaining the equipment would be an asset.
- Ability to work with others and give good direction when needed.
**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**:
- On the job training will be provided and monitored for a period of time before the production workers is ready to work independently.
- 5+ years of experience in batch processes in the chemical industry is desirable
- 2-3 years in a supervisory role
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
- Forklift experience an asset
- Validated experience leading paint manufacturing processes.
- Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 25kg bags frequently to a height of 48 inches.
**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Work Location: In person
