Key Accountabilities

Product Analysis, Monitoring & Reporting (30%)- Leads and/or conducts analysis of customer information and other jurisdictions to evaluate product initiatives and identify new/modified products required.- Leads and/or conducts analysis of product performance results, including claims data, to determine potential areas for product changes and recommends solutions.- Collaborates with Customer Insights to develop market research surveys that are used to revise or create new products.- Leads and/or assists with consultations in conjunction with Partnerships to solve problems related to applicable products.- Liaises with the Claims division to identify coverage revisions that are closely aligned to customer needs.- Collaborates with Shareholder Relations and Auto Fund business areas to investigate product related questions from the Minister’s Office.- Liaises with operational and actuarial staff to ensure that business practices and product pricing achieve an appropriate balance between pricing and customer service.- Recommends and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for current, new and revised products and implements regular KPI reporting.- Investigates and responds when KPIs are indicating problem areas.- Utilizes data analysis work to guide decision making and to create a data savvy culture within the Corporate Auto Fund group.

Product Development & Implementation (20%)- Assists Director with the design and development of Auto Fund products in collaboration with business areas and identifies roadblocks and benefits of new products and product changes.- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback on new or existing products and to assess impacts of proposed business changes while balancing business and government priorities.- Initiates and/or contributes to projects involving Auto Fund products.- Identifies training needs in relation to new or revised products and collaborates with the training team to develop plans for internally and externally impacted groups.- Initiates, and leads business requirements for system enhancements or new systems development required to administer product changes.- Reviews and recommends required legislative and regulatory amendments in collaboration with impacted business areas and Legal.- Liaises with Communications and Brand to ensure the launching of new and existing product changes follow corporate standards.

Product Oversight, Strategy & Support (20%)- Assists with researching, preparing, defining and delivery of product strategies for Auto Fund products.- Identifies, analyzes and recommends prioritization of product initiatives.- Identifies new, emerging issues and trends in the industry to identify potential product changes.- Participates in actuarial valuation, loss trend, premium budgets and product related committees.- Develops and maintains relationships with key internal stakeholders to stay abreast of industry trends and internal business needs. Stakeholders including Finance, Corporate Insurance, Communications, Brand and IT, in addition to external contacts such as Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI), Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel (SRRP), Canadian Council of Motor Transportation Administrators (CCMTA) and American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA).- Supports the Auto Fund products by reviewing research and responses to complex insurance-based coverage inquiries from customers and claims staff.

Auto Fund Rate Program (10%)- Assists with organization of Saskatchewan Rate Review Panel and SGI delegate meetings.- Coordinates and assists with Auto Fund responses for rate program questions.- Coordinates consultations with key stakeholder groups including preparation of materials.- Supports actuarial team with rate program planning and implementation.

Leadership (10%)- Actively contributes to and supports a culture of a high performing workforce.- Participates in divisional succession plans, ensuring ongoing professional and career development and supports development in others.- Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies.- Is actively committed to leadership development across the company, supporting team and workforce readiness through mentoring, training and developmental opportunities.
