**Qualifications and other requirements**:

- Valid drivers license and must be someone who is a confident driver
- Must be responsible and dependable
- Must be comfortable in a professional setting and a good match to the student
- Must be willing to work flexible hours (to be discussed further in an interview with selected applicants, but may include flexible hours during the day/evening that fit both parties schedules).
- Must be willing to work as a team with other personal assistant as needed.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Assist with mobility and transportation around Halifax (walking, driving students’ wheelchair van).
- Assist with educational tasks, such as printing, photocopying, and organizing materials.
- Assist with carrying personal belongings, books, folders, materials for the student.
- Assist with professional and research activities in a hospital/clinic or other professional settings as needed
- Assist the student during meal time
- Assist with appointments and meetings
- Have fun and learn

Note: This position is funded by Independent Living Nova Scotia, and is supported by the Department of Education and Disability Services in Nova Scotia.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
