**Shifts: Days (Monday - Friday)**
**Rate of Pay: $23.66 - $27.83 per hour**

Reporting to the Manager, Regional Referral System the Clerk will support Central Intake for the North West Wound and Vascular pathway. The Clerk is responsible for receiving and processing referrals, maintaining records, assigning initial assessments and booking clients according to the criteria determined by each clinical pathway and providing administrative support to the Regional Referral System. This position requires a system-wide orientation as clients may be booked with agencies other than St. Joseph's Care Group

**Qualifications**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Diploma in office administration program or related program
- Recent admissions/registration and appointment scheduling experience
- Clerical experience preferably in a healthcare environment

**Skills/Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers, and customers
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet the requirements of internal and external customers
- Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team
- Independent judgment when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues, including the ability to maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information relating to clients and/or hospital business
- Proficient in data entry with the ability to maintain a high degree of speed and accuracy
- Ability to switch between and work across multiple digital platforms is required
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**Assets**:

- French Language proficiency is considered an asset
- Knowledge of referral management software is considered an asset

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
