**Position Description**:
**The key responsibilities of an Events Manager are**:
- Understand film release landscapes (mainstream and indie) and remain knowledgeable about notable film anniversaries and cult-status film offerings
- Attend and contribute to yearly programming strategy meeting
- Plan and create events around mainstream film release calendar, alternate programming and non-film events including budgeting for each event
- Create grassroots community campaigns for all locations (i.e. community outreach, downtown BIA involvement)
- Handle all theatre rental details including communicating with clients, coordinating with booking agents and theatre management, booking and scheduling theatre rentals, creating rental agreements and invoices, tracking payment status etc.
- Make cold calls to potential theatre rental clients and potential advertising clients (i.e. schools, businesses, hospitals, restaurants, unions, real estate agents etc.)
- Handle all aspects of local and national pre-show advertisements including communicating with clients, creating advertising agreements and invoices, tracking payment status, coordinating with national advertising partner (UB media) on national advertising campaigns, coordinating with theatre management on ad placement, validating playback etc.
- Coordinate with creative team on creating and distributing trivia and promotional spots for pre-show
- All other duties as assigned

**Required Experience**:
2-4 years similar or related experience
**Required Education**:
Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related fields
