Microbiology Analyst

Pillar5 Pharma Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated individual to join our Microbiology/Sterility Assurance Department as a Microbiology Analyst. As a Microbiology Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of our pharmaceutical products.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following written procedures.
- Identification of microorganisms following written procedures.
- Perform environmental monitoring analysis for the non-aseptic areas.
- Presents technical data clearly and concisely, support internal investigations and regulatory inspections.
- Analyze, interpret, and review raw data and results.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, records, and inventory.
- Adhere to all effective SOPs, CL2 standards and safety requirements.
- Adhere to good documentation practices and laboratory work consistent with cGMP requirements.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- B. Sc. or diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biology. Courses in Microbiology are considered an asset or previous experience working in a microbiology lab.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is considered an asset. 
- Knowledge of Biosafety guidelines.
- Experience working in a containment level 2 laboratory.
- A background in aseptic processing areas is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant laboratory work experience required. 
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
