Manager, Supply Chain Services

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, Asset Attainment & Leases; the Manager, Supply Chain Services will take a lead role to manage, direct and coordinate a fiscally responsible multi-distribution Supply Chain environment.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Lead the daily Supply Chain operations in an effective and safe manner
- Achieve outcomes that consider quality, on-time delivery, delivered cost and reliability
- Develop, negotiate and administer supplier contracts
- Manage vendor engagements and performance as required with various Business Units
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Supply Chain team to ensure that strategies are executed effectively and consistently
- Develop operational linkages between actual use of raw materials and replenishment
- Establish and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the Supply Chain team and ensure that a program is in place to continuously monitor the performance of those procedures
- Lead continuous improvements that support the overall drive to lean operations
- Coordinate supply consumption analysis to maintain inventory levels at optimum levels
- Establish section metrics and translate into individual/ section performance criteria and perform employee evaluations
- Coordinate the preparation of reports as required by the Manager
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and action plans
- Assist the Senior Manager in evaluating, developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with purchasing policies and procedures
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related area
- Five (5) years supply chain/procurement experience with increasing levels of responsibility or related experience
- Previous people or large project leadership experience
- SCMP Designation completed or in progress (or equivalent designation)
- Experience with contract document structures including legal language and issues associated with contracts, risk identification and mitigation
- Demonstrated knowledge of the law of tendering and procurement best practices
- Proven progressive experience managing and implementing innovative Supply Chain operations
- Ability to reason clearly and critically, including logic, frame questions and reach conclusions when analyzing information Strong project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing and maintaining key performance indicators
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing methods and philosophy
- Champions change, productivity and innovation; proven track record for identifying and leading process improvement
- Develops culture and people; accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees
- Builds strong relationships; establishes trust and respect with team and stakeholders across the organization;
- stakeholder management and negotiation and engagement skills
- Demonstrates customer focus; builds positive customer relationships
- Drives results and accountability; excellent project management skills coupled with strong planning, problem solving and decision-making capabilities
This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
