Heritage Nanny Home is currently looking for Casual Mental Health Support Workers with the right combination of passion, skills, and dedication to support our group home residents with mental health. **Services**: Provide care to residents according to the Recovery Care Philosophy Assistance with activities of daily living and development of life skills such as, housekeeping, meal planning, keeping appointments, and interpersonal skills, in accordance with care plans and ISP goals. Assist residents in recreational and leisure activities and build rapport Provide information to residents in relations to harm reduction supports available De-escalate situations and utilize conflict resolution **Requirements**: Completion of a recognized Addictions Worker or Mental Health Worker Certificate or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current "Emergency Community Care" First aid and Cardio-pulmonary (CPR) certification **Skills**: Advocacy skills, and genuine concern and respect for mental health clients Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse clients Excellent self knowledge and good boundaries Effective listening, observation and recording abilities Strong collaboration skills to work effectively as a cohesive team Ability to communicate information effectively through a variety of means **Other Necessities**: - You will need to have a reliable car with personal liability insurance - minimum third party liability coverage must be two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) - A driver's license issued in Canada is required **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
