There is potential to grow together. **About the job**: Progressive Legal Solutions Professional Corporation is looking for a highly motivated, fearless team member. Experience is not required as we are willing to invest our resources in training newer calls in the are of Family Law. In other words, we are looking for someone who is able to _**withstand stressful situations, not afraid of challenges and has a "happy warrior" soul**_. This position will be responsible for assisting our clients with their legal needs, including but not limited to: drafting pleadings, researching and reviewing legal documents, preparing discovery requests, and assisting with trial preparation. Renumeration will consist of a base salary plus a year-end bonus based on the associate's performance/billings with the exact structure to be disclosed during the interview. **Responsibilities**: - Meeting with clients - Conducting legal research using Westlaw and/or Canlii or other applicable research services - Drafting pleadings, including but not limited to: Applications, Answers, briefs, motions, any other documents pursuant to the _Family Law Rules._ - Assisting in preparation for trial (i.e. preparing witnesses and documents) as well as attendance at trials with the principal lawyer - Communicating with clients and opposing counsel regarding case status and legal matters - Managing cases in case management software program - Maintaining case records in case management software program - Performing other duties as assigned by the principal lawyer **Salary**: $60,000.00-$140,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - On-site parking - Paid time off - Profit sharing Flexible Language Requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Barrie, ON L4N 1J2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Application question(s): - Are you licenced to practice law in Ontario?
