Business Analyst

**Job Title: Business Analyst (Hybrid model)**

**Location: Victoria/Vancouver, British Columbia**

An immediate project need is to migrate the existing TI Corp SharePoint sites like-for-like from the on-premise SharePoint 2013 instance to a new on-premise TI Corp SharePoint 2016 instance to support the new records management system. One of the business analysts would be tasked to support the project team to identify and catalogue the internal business processes for the delivery of the new Enterprise Data Records Management System (EDRMS)

Working with the Corporations IT Team, the Business Analyst will be required to work independently and with project teams, business experts and technical leads to provide expertise in business analyses and project support.

In addition, the Business Analyst will provide the following services which are not limited to:
a) Meet with IT department to review the current business processes

b) Develop and or update business process diagrams

c) Conduct or participate in workshops and requirements gathering sessions

d) Develop detailed business requirements and process diagrams

e) Develop a roles and responsibilities matrix

f) Analysis and documentation of requirements for user interface gap analysis and design

g) Liaise with the working group to determine requirements and document as required according to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile framework, V Diagram or other methodology as required

h) Ensure information privacy and date requirements are ahered to

i) Assist with Security and Threat Risk Assessments (STRA)

j) Define functional requirements and detailed workflow specifications

k) Evaluate information gathering from multiple resources and reconcile business process gaps

l) Assist with facilitating working group sessions, discussions, tracking and documentation

m) Facilitate workshops with multiple project teams

n) Develop project specific acceptance test scripts and managing the user acceptance testing process

o) Participate in Data Migration Plan development and execution;
p) Responsible for reporting status and progress to the management and project team

q) Develop test strategies

r) Develop test and change management plans

s) Develop test cases and lead execution

t) Develop user acceptance testing, toolkit and oversight

u) Participate in Terms of Acceptance documentation and

v) Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to staff

Other Services and deliverables may be needed, examples include but are not limited to the following:
a) Assist with development of current solution architecture, solution abstracts, business process architecture, conceptual data models, environmental scans and gap analyses, Deployment Plan documentation

b) Participate in preliminary technical analysis

c) Develop Responsibility Assignment (RACI) models

d) Conduct stakeholder analysis

e) Liaise with a Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Contractor on possible changes to the COTS solution;
f) Conduct and document interviews

g) Assist with project planning and transition plans

h) Develop training toolkit, end user training; and

i) Participate in Project Close Out activities such as documenting Lessons Learned.
