As a Technical Report Author, you will contribute expertise in the following areas:

- Participation in a team environment, working closely with and supporting Project Managers and Field Technicians;
- Produce high quality written technical reports in support of large and small environmental site assessment, monitoring and remediation projects;
- Preparation of Site closure documentation (detailed site investigations, regulatory forms);
- QA/QC laboratory data then generate tables;
- Compare the results to site-specific regulatory guidelines and/or protocols for reporting needs for the various Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Project Directors;
- Generate and QA/QC regulatory checklists, forms and other documents in support of reporting requirements to meet the site-specific project needs of provincial Contaminated Site Regulations, protocols and/or Guidelines;
- Create, execute and revise work plans to meet Project Manager’s needs;
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Geoscience and/or Engineering);
- 2 to 4 years of direct experience in contaminated site assessments, site monitoring and remediation;
- Working knowledge of the BC Contaminated Sites Regulation and relevant Protocols and Technical Guidance documents;
- Experience with statistical analysis using common analytical software;
- Strong technical writing skills;
- Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace and possess a safety conscious attitude;
- Ability to work patiently with and help train less experienced team members;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and key judgment skills;
- Experience in the oil and gas sector will be an asset;
Preference will be given to those individuals with more extensive experience with respect to soil and groundwater monitoring programs, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, site remediation, provincial Contaminated Site checklists, forms and protocols. And, have related field experience.
