**HEAD BREWER / BREWING LEADER**

Superflux Beer Company is seeking a motivated, passionate, experienced, and talented Head Brewer. Reporting to the Production & Brewery Operations Leader, the Head Brewer is accountable for aspects of beer production, quality assurance, brewery staffing, training and maintenance. The Head Brewer is also accountable for mid-long range planning of the Brew Schedule, and assisting Leadership in Product Development..

**Responsibilities & Duties**

Reporting to the Production & Brewery Operations Leader, the Head Brewer is responsible for:

- Overseeing recipe development, and updates,
- Management and leadership of overall QA/QC processes in beer production,
- All Beer Production Activities:

- Wort production,
- Managing and monitoring fermentation,
- Yeast management,
- Cleaning, both specific to the brewery, and in general,
- CIP operations of fermentation vessels, conditioning tanks, and brewing vessels,
- Routine QA/QC checks on all products,
- All Cellaring Activities:

- Transferring beers from fermentation vessels to conditioning tanks and carbonating
- Assisting in the Packaging beer as necessary,
- Inventory management,
- Supply chain management for ingredients,
- Assisting in Procurement as required,
- Management of brewhouse schedule,,
- Managing, staffing, training, leadership for all Brewery Staff,
- Leading Sensory analysis,
- Lead brewhouse maintenance, and assist in overall facility management,
- Forklift operation,
- Upholding Superflux’ standards in all areas of production
- Training, development, of the Production Team in the items above,
- Assisting the Packaging Leader with training and development of their team, as required from time to time,
- Other duties as required from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- 4+ years of production brewing experience
- Passion for making the best beer
- Brewing education 2 year Diploma minimum, Degree preferred,
- Physically fit and able to maneuver 70kg kegs as well as light 25kg repeatedly
- Ability to work a flexible schedule,
- Serving it Right certification
- Fork Lift Operation license
- Occupational First Aid Level 1
- WHMIS Certificate

**Compensation**:

- $70,000-$75,000, annual salary,
- Full time Permanent position,
- 3 weeks of paid vacation,
- $1500 Annual Health Spending Account,
- Discounted food and merchandise,
- Product allowance.
