Côté Gold is being developed in partnership with the Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation and Métis Nation of Ontario, Region 3.

The open-pit gold mine is a joint venture between IAMGOLD and Sumitomo Metal Mining Co. Ltd. and is operated by IAMGOLD. We are located near Gogama, Ontario, with access to stable infrastructure and strong connections with our local communities.

**Accessing Opportunities at Côté Gold**

**Lead Hand, Mine Operations**

The Lead Hand, Mine Operations is responsible for overseeing and operating heavy equipment used in mining operations. This role combines hands-on equipment operation with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and regulatory standards. The Lead Hand serves as a key point of contact between operators and department supervision, facilitating smooth operations and addressing any operational challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**

Area 1:
Safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety standards.
- Clean, lubricate and perform regular safety checks on equipment.
- Ensure equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off, or loading and unloading.
- Ensure equipment exterior and interior is kept clean and safe.
- Identify faults and troubleshoot equipment as required.
- Respond to and manage safety incidents, ensure proper reporting and follow-up actions are taken.
- Assist with daily coordination of work assignments, progress monitoring and guidance/support to team members.
- Promote and enforce strict adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Act in a supervisory capacity, when required.
- Complete health and safety audits and mandatory mine operations audits.

Area 2:
Operational excellence
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
- Continually seek to improve your skills as an operator and maintainer.
- Watch for inefficiencies or problems. Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
- Embrace the MineStar high precision GPS system on all the equipment to make the Autonomous haulage and Autonomous drilling work more efficiently and effectively.
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).
- Assist in developing and implementing operational procedures and best practices.

Area 3:
Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability
- Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
- Mentor and train new team members. Participate in and lend your expertise to the team.
- Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
- Ensure equipment logs and shift logs are accurate and complete.
- Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.

Safety & Sustainability Expectations

Directly accountable for the health and safety of yourself, your department and local communities. Directly accountable for ensuring activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner. Demonstrate visible leadership on Health, Safety and Environmental performance at all times if in production environments. Be alert and observe, correct and report unsafe conditions. Develop, train and ensure all staff follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements. Ensure that work areas are in compliance with all of IAMGOLD’s Health and Safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Acts in the applicable jurisdiction. Intervene as necessary, to ensure the safety of others in the workplace.
