Powder Coating Technician for Lighting Manufacturer

**Lightheaded Lighting** in Port Coquitlam is looking to add a qualified Powder Coating Technician to join our team. Lightheaded assembles & ships LED Lighting fixtures for customers throughout North America.

If you are looking for a **full-time employment** in a business casual environment, Monday to Friday this is your place.

You should have at least **2 years of experience** in a painting role, have good dexterity & be able to lift boxes up to 35 lbs. An attention to detail & being proactive in identifying areas of improvement would be a valued asset. This position requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable with good written & verbal communications skills. Reporting to Powder Coating Supervisor, this position is **full time, 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday**

**_Core Tasks:_**
- Keep the work area clean and organized to optimize production and quality.
- Hanging, surface preparation and powder coating aluminum and steel components.
- High understanding of safety with regards to Powder Coating materials.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Plans & organizes work & manages priorities with mínimal supervision.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous painting experience preferred.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Has good reading, comprehension, listening and speaking skills.
- Must be able to follow work instructions.
- Willingness to learn each type of product.
- Ability to lift & carry boxes up to 35 lbs.
- Strengths in quality standards and continuous improvement methods are a plus.
- Good team working skills.
- Will grow into an informal leader among the team

Schedule:

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
