**CATERING COORDINATOR**

Sodexo Live at BC Place is looking for a catering coordinator to join our catering team.

The Catering Coordinator is responsible for supporting the creation of unique dining experiences by
actively supervising and participating in the sales, planning and execution of catered functions, to include
breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, receptions and other types of events, including off-site
events. The primary focus within the Catering Department will be to look after the catering advanced
orders in the Suites Department.

Responsibilities, Supporting Actions, and End-Results
Major Responsibility: Maximize Sodexo’s revenue and operational excellence through execution of
operational systems and policies related to Suites operations.
Supporting Actions:

- Assist the Catering Manager with selection, costing and pricing of menu items.
- Assist with the production, preparation, transfer, service and sale of food and refreshments within

Suites areas.

- Engage employees to ensure that all Suites areas are spotless and well-maintained; Check all

set-ups and continually monitor Suites operations to ensure optimal food and beverage quality
and service.
- Drive guest satisfaction and maintain effective client relationships through continuous walk-thrus

of all Suites areas.
- Seek out customer feedback and respond to customer needs to improve services; Intervene in

instances of guest dissatisfaction.
- Follow up with guests post-event to ensure satisfaction and secure re-booking opportunities.
- Assess opportunities and create action plans to improve service, quality and profitability of

stadium’s Suites.
- Communicate with General Manager, Staff, internal departments and external agencies, as

necessary to ensure timely and appropriate flow of information.
- Confer with Catering Manager regarding problem areas; Make recommendations for increasing

efficiency and for changing procedures.
- Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

End Results: Sodexo Live retains an excellent reputation; Service, revenue and profit goals
are achieved.
Major Responsibility: Help to maximize Sodexo’s Catering revenue and ensure operational
excellence by following established systems, practices, guidelines policies and standards for Catering
sales and service.
Supporting Actions:

- Communicate with Sodexo clients’ sales, marketing and event team as directed.
- Promote positive relations and effective communication with meeting planners, group leaders and

event organizers.
- Under the guidance of the Catering Manager, work with clients to conceptualize and plan

catered functions according to their specifications.
- Support the maintenance of accurate records of account payment activity and assist with billing

and collections when needed.
- Communicate and disseminate critical event information to department heads and staff members;
Distribute detailed function sheets at weekly staff/BEO meetings as directed.
- Assist Catering Manager in working with selected vendors to arrange for the rental of chairs and

tables, A/V, equipment, linens and other needed items per event specifications.
- Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO) as outlined; Confer with Catering Manager to ensure clear

understanding of all event specifications.
- Ensure that service staff and kitchen staff clearly understand directions for set-up, flow of event

and service details based on instructions set forth in the BEO.
- Provide floor supervision during events as needed; Monitor flow of service and maintain

continuous communication with kitchen.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling throughout all dining areas.
- Assist in facilitating client requests; Intervene in instances of guest dissatisfaction; Work

diligently to resolve issues and address concerns so that no guest leaves unhappy.
End Results: Centerplate retains an excellent reputation; Service, revenue and profit goals are
achieved.
Major Responsibility: Provide leadership and direction to supervisors and line staff.
Supporting Actions:

- Support the hiring, training and performance management of department employees as needed;
Assist in the development of each employee to their maximum potential.
- Assist Catering Manager with proactive human resource practices to ensure motivation and

compliance.
- Coach and support the team to be customer-focused, innovative, fast and team-oriented in their work.
- Be fully knowledgeable of catering menus; Assist in educating staff regarding food product and serve

as an information resource for any questions they may have.
- Accomplish operational mission by completing work in a proactive and efficient manner.
