- **Position Summary**
- The Unit Worker provides support to the Emergency Department (ED) by performing non-professional/non-nursing tasks in alignment with the departmental goals and objectives as well as the organizations’ strategic plan.
- **Qualifications**- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of one (1) year Hospital Housekeeping experience required.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently according to policies and procedures and job description.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to meet different departmental needs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe handling and storage of chemicals and solvents
- Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and multi task efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain disciplined level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment with collaborative efforts.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and attendance record
- Demonstrated ability to follow specific instructions and perform duties while maintaining infection control mandates.
