Grip and Ripp HDD is drilling looking for experienced HDD Drillers and Locators to join our team. Drilling will be mainly mainline civil fibre optic. Work will be in the Edmonton area and can include travel to sites all over Alberta. Out of province winter work available.
- Ability to operate Vermeer 10x15, 20x22, 36x50 Directional Drills and F5 Falcon Locator Box with at least 2 years of experience.
- Ability to work Safe, Efficient and Independently, while maintaining a professional working relationship with the clients, public, sub contractors, and workers on site.
- Ability to read and understand locates, engineered plans, facility drawings and as-builts.
- Understand and execute the damage prevention program for Alberta.
- Ability to utilize a Hydrovac for proper daylighting.
- Must be able to problem solve, adapt to changing conditions and be flexible in operations while upholding OH&S safety standards.
- Mathematical and Mechanically inclined
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Work up to 12 hour days, 6 days a week.
- Must be a leader and mentor, expected to lead by example while representing the company.
- Class 1 licence with airbrake trailer experience an asset. Class 3 also an asset. Class 5 minimum. Clean drivers abstract. Hours of Service Training (ELD Compliance) if required
- WHIMIS, CSTS/PSTS and Ground Disturbance Level ll required
- First aid, H2s, Confined space, fall arrest tickets an asset.
- Oilfield experience an asset.
- Safety is top priority.

Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Drilling: 2 years (required)
