**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hydrovac Operator to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of hydro excavation equipment, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Equipment Operation**:
Operate and maintain hydro vac trucks and associated equipment, including high-pressure water systems and vacuum systems, to excavate soil and debris safely and efficiently.
- **Excavation Procedures**:
Execute hydro excavation tasks as directed, utilizing equipment controls to expose underground utilities and structures with precision.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including OHS standards.
- **Team Communication**:
Collaborate effectively with team members, including the Hydro Vac Swamper, to ensure coordinated efforts on job sites. Report any issues or incidents to supervisors promptly.
- **Environmental Responsibility**:
Manage the containment and disposal of materials according to environmental regulations, promoting sustainable practices throughout operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Hydrovac Operator is mandatory.
- Valid Class 3 or 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of hydro excavation equipment and safe operating procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of safe work practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.

**Additional Information**:

- This position may involve irregular hours, including on-call availability and occasional overnight travel based on project needs.
- Competitive wages based on experience, with overtime pay available.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 80 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

- Driver's Class 1/3 License (required)
