Gibraltar Holdings Ltd. is a well-respected company known for its charitable efforts, which includes providing millions of litres of safe drinking water to underprivileged communities in Nicaragua through the "One for One Water Project". We are looking for an experienced Carpenter to join the team. **Responsibilities**: - Prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join moldings, wood materials, steel studs, drywall and plastics materials. - Cabinetry installation. - Door hardware installation. - Cut and install metal framing and trim to size, using cutting tools. - Cut and screw together metal channels to make floor or ceiling frames, according to plans. - Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware. - Suspended ceiling installation. - Build steel stud walls and partition installation. - Operate power tools. **Education & Experience** - Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman. - Carpenter recognized by the Province of B.C. - Three years’ recent, related experience in commercial construction. **Knowledge & Abilities** - Proficient in English - written & spoken. - Positive “can-do” attitude. - Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required. - Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to operate related equipment. - Mandatory PPE required (Hardhat, CSA approved steel toe boots) Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Flexible schedule - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - Vision care Application question(s): - Are you eligible to work in Canada? - Do you have a valid driving license and vehicle? - Do you have mandatory PPE (Hardhat, CSA approved steel toe boots)? **Experience**: - Steel stud framing: 3 years (required) - Boarding: 3 years (required) - Carpentry: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person
