REPORTS TO: Director of Allocation

Position Overview
- The Merchandise Allocator is responsible for effective distribution of new, repeat and promotional merchandise to stores according to inventory levels, sales history, and store models.
- Perform sales & inventory analysis to ensure that stock is directed to stores in the right volumes at the right time to optimize profitability.
- Partner with warehouse team to ensure proper merchandise flow in and out of the distribution centre.

Essential Job Functions:

- Communicate and collaborate with the Merchandise Planner and Buyer.
- Utilize Assortment Plans provided by Planners.
- Review and recognize high turning categories and distribute merchandise as needed, using various allocation methods.
- Maintain sufficient inventory levels in order to maximize each store’s potential for sales.
- Analyze sales results and initiate inventory adjustments necessary to ensure optimized profitability.
- Analyze and execute reports as required, such as, Class sales ranking and Category analysis reports. Communicate relevant information to relevant audience.

Aperçu du poste:

- Le répartiteur ou la répartitrice de marchandise est responsable de la distribution efficace de la marchandise, nouvelle, répétitive et promotionnelle aux magasins selon les niveaux de stock, l'historique des ventes et les modèles de magasin.
- Effectuer une analyse des ventes et des stocks pour s'assurer que les stocks sont dirigés vers les magasins dans les bons volumes et au bon moment afin d'optimiser la rentabilité.
- Collaborer avec l'équipe de l'entrepôt pour assurer un flux de marchandises adéquat à l'entrée et à la sortie du centre de distribution.

Fonctions du poste:

- Communiquer et collaborer avec le planificateur de marchandises et l'acheteur.
- Utiliser les plans d'assortiment fournis par les planificateurs.
- Examiner et reconnaître les catégories à forte rotation et distribuer la marchandise au besoin, en utilisant diverses méthodes de répartition.
- Maintenir des niveaux de stocks suffisants afin de maximiser le potentiel de vente de chaque magasin.
- Analyser les résultats des ventes et procéder aux ajustements de stocks nécessaires pour assurer une rentabilité optimale.
- Analyser et exécuter les rapports nécessaires, tels que les rapports de classement des ventes par classe et d'analyse par catégorie. Communiquer les informations pertinentes aux personnes concernées.
