**Technical Service Representative - Ground Support**

JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Service Representative is expected to represent Epiroc in the best way, in terms of professional conduct, business culture and product knowledge. By increasing knowledge of the Canadian market and Epiroc’s place in it, the Technical Service Representative will grow professionally and help in providing solutions required to meet current and future customer demand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To work in a proactive manner with the Ground Control engineering personnel at the various mine sites in supporting them in optimizing their ground support programs and assisting in finding solutions to their specific challenges.
- To integrate within the Ground Support Product Line team by sharing technical knowledge and taking ownership of customer support tasks.
- To conduct on-site product testing, trials, troubleshooting, training, and prepare technical visit reports for the customer.
- To gather data on product inefficiencies and potential improvements, and report back internally to the team and the Business Manager.
- To control and be accountable for Ground Support test equipment deemed critical for executing on-site work.
- To support the Business Manager with special technical projects or business-related activities.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

- Experience in the mining industry would be advantageous.
- Strong technical knowledge and some experience with ground support advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada and ability to work underground.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

- University degree in Mining Engineering advantageous but not essential.
- Fluent English is essential; bilingual in French would be an advantage.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Good verbal and written communication skills and strong customer focus.
- Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
- Good teamwork skills and contributive approach.
- Self-motivated and well-organized working profile.
- To have a problem solver attitude and to be resourceful in hands-on tasks.
- Good knowledge of common computer software, i.e. MS Office, Adobe, CAD

LOCATION & REPORTING STRUCTURE:

- Sudbury, Ontario, would be preferred but other locations will be considered.
- Reporting to the Business Manager - Ground Support.
