**Overview**

The Machine Shop Labourer supports the activities of the machine shop. This includes operating machinery and equipment in a safe manner and performing general shop labour work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assembling plugs and stems.
- Assisting machinists with minor machining tasks.
- Unloading trucks.
- Cutting materials.
- Emptying chip bins.
- Operating bandsaw, arbor press, and drill press.
- Operating forklift and overheard crane.
- Maintaining clean shop.
- Assume duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:
**Qualifications**
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machine shop is an asset.

**Salary**: Starts at $20/hr

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
