Operating as a non-profit, Chances Cowichan has contributed over $3million to local charity groups. We are on the lookout for reliable and dedicated people who want to join our team in supporting our community.

**Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to)**:

- Welcome guests in a personable, professional and entertaining manner while understanding the diversity of players.
- Strictly follow and enforce all COVID-19 policies and procedures.
- Verify jackpots, accurately payout winning prizes and correctly fill out prize documentation as required.
- Remain calm and in control when events such as multiple winners occur.
- Maintain awareness of slot machine operation, perform minor adjustments and replenish ticket supplies accordingly.
- Clean machines between patrons.
- Understand and respond to customer inquiries regarding slot machine games, promotions, and any other product or service offered at Chances Cowichan.
- Immediately see to potential safety hazards and report as necessary to shift manager.
- Undertake other tasks and housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Comply with the Chances Cowichan dress code and other policies.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Exceptional customer service and resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to speak courteously in any situation.
- Ability to do basic, quick math is essential.
- Able to accurately payout large cash prizes in a noise filled environment
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and walk briskly but safely when needed.
- Basic computer skills for training and possible cross training in other areas of the facility.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada and reasonably within commuting distance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.65-$16.04 per hour
