**Gaming Security Officer**

**Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to)**:

- Welcome guests in a personable, professional and entertaining manner while understanding the diversity of players.
- Strictly follow and enforce all current COVID-19 policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with other managers and Surveillance Operators when incidents occur.
- Remain calm and in control when multiple events occur.
- Circulate around the slot floor, keep count of the number of patrons.
- Maintain and clean/sanitize work area,
- Understand and respond to customer inquiries regarding house policies, promotions, and any other product or service offered at Chances Cowichan.
- Immediately see to potential safety hazards and report as necessary to shift manager.
- Act as First Aid Attendant as necessary.
- Undertake other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Comply with the Chances Cowichan dress code and other policies.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Exceptional customer service and resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to speak courteously in any situation.
- Current BST required, GSO certificate preferred, or ability to qualify for GSO within 30 days.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and able to work with minimum supervision at times.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and walk briskly but safely when needed.
- Basic computer skills for training and report writing.
- Must be able to work within rules and regulations for gaming industry in BC.
- First Aid Certificate will be required.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be legally able to work in Canada and reasonably within commuting distance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.53 per hour
