This position is a **mentor and coach for our technicians**, and will be **supported by a strong team across all departments**—from **Service Advisors to Office Management**—to ensure a smooth workflow and great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of technicians with guidance on best practices, technical procedures, and safety protocols
- Perform and assist with complex repairs including engine work, welding, and assembly tasks, as required
- Diagnose and troubleshoot using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and schematic diagrams
- Coordinate workflow and bay scheduling to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Manage inventory of parts and tools needed for daily operations
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintain a clean, organized shop environment
- Assist with physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting when required
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair status and technical concerns (in coordination with the Service Advisor team)
- Oversee proper use of diagnostic systems and schematic diagrams to ensure accurate repairs
- Maintain documentation of work performed for quality control and warranty purposes
**Qualifications**:
- Extensive automotive repair background
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive maintenance and repair
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Prior experience supervising or leading a team in a fast-paced shop environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (able to explain technical issues clearly)
- Solid knowledge of diagnostic techniques and maintenance procedures
- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety standards, and a “do it right” mindset
What Success Looks Like
- Technicians are supported, trained, and consistently improving
- Work flows smoothly across 8 bays with mínimal bottlenecks
- Quality checks are consistent, comebacks are minimized
- Customers receive clear updates and leave satisfied
- The shop stays safe, clean, and organized every day
- Our hours are : Monday 7:30 am - 5pm, Tuesday - Thursday 8 am - 5 pm and Friday 7:30 am - 1 pm.
