**Purpose**: To maintain a clean and safe environment while working as a member of the team to provide a comfortable experience for the residents of The Meadows of Aurora.

**Reporting To**:Facilities Services Manager

**Required Skills & Experience**

The Custodian/Maintenance is responsible for keeping the building clean, ensuring all assigned areas are kept at the highest cleaning standard and all tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner. You will follow regular preventative maintenance schedules as directed. You will be responsible for common and office areas, seasonal outdoor duties and other related duties as assigned.

You must demonstrate the ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including the ability to carry out significant amounts of lifting and bending. You must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work within a team environment.

Your availability for work must be flexible to accommodate shift-work (11 am
- 7 pm) as well as every other weekends.

It is preferred if applicants have 1 to 2 years' of experience in Custodian, Retirement or Long Term Care experience and knowledge of W.H.M.I.S. principles.

A requirement for all individuals who work at The Meadows of Aurora and support our seniors community include:

- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required. Everyone at this location is required to follow proper hand hygiene and wear a mask.
- A two-step TB test that can be arranged through your family doctor or many pharmacies.
- A Vulnerable Sector Check that can be obtained through designated Police locations.

**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
