We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Quality Assurance Specialist (Distribution) to join our Quality Assurance team in Edmonton, AB at our TCL Warehouse.

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for ensuring that the inbound and outbound perishable products (produce) meet Pattison Food Group quality standards within the Supply Chain. This position will help integrate and maintain processes regarding produce quality to ensure compliance to all regulatory and PFG requirements.

Afternoon shift: 12:00pm - 8:00pm

Night Shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am

You will be responsible for:
- Verifying that all inbound product (produce) consistently meets our specifications for safety and quality by measurement of key metrics and adherence to sampling and testing programs.- Rejecting products and documenting all quality inspection findings with appropriate forms and systems on a daily/ongoing basis.- Continuously communicating with various Quality Assurance partners as well as Merchandising and Supply Chain teams specifically the Produce team.- Interacting with CFIA in respect to inspections / detentions and recovery programs.- Calibrating and verifying testing equipment as required.- Ensuring adherence and maintenance of established Quality Assurance program.- Ensuring Pattison Food Group delivers produce of the highest safety and quality standards.

You have:
- A bachelor’s degree in microbiology, Food Science, Public Health, or other relevant discipline.- 3-5 years’ experience in food safety, quality assurance, auditing, supply chain, compliance, or other relevant experience.- HACCP certification.- GFSI recognized scheme (i.e. SQF) training/certification considered an asset.- The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Specifically, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.- The capacity to identify colors.

- An effective communicator (both written and verbal) with the flexibility to adapt to various audiences and stakeholders.- Able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced multi temperature warehouse environment.- Flexible and able to travel as needed between BC and AB.

Compensation Details:
$70,110.00 - $87,638.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
