**The Opportunity**:
Primary accountabilities include:

- Operate ice maintenance equipment, including but not limited to the ice resurfacer and ice edger
- Maintain discipline among user groups and public spectators to the best of your ability
- Ensure assigned duties are completed and within timelines outlined
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer user groups
- Accountable for general custodial duties and ensure that a high standard of safety, cleanliness and technical operation is maintained within the facility
- Ensure that all safety precautions, fire prevention and practices are adhered to according to Provincial Legislation and Municipal by-laws and policies
- Maintain written logs on a per-shift basis

**You Bring**:

- Minimum age of 18 years
- AARFP Arena Operator Level 1 certification (or the commitment to obtain within 12 months)
- Current Standard First Aid Level C CPR and AED certification is required
- Some experience working in an ice hockey environment, including working knowledge of ice making equipment, would be required
- Working knowledge of ice making equipment
- A keen awareness for working safely
- Ability to communicate effectively and offer excellent customer service to visitors and staff
- Enjoy being part of a team striving to excel in their delivery of exceptional facilities and service to the citizens of Airdrie

**Additional Information**:
This is an evening and weekend position, some shifts involving late nights. Arena Operators will be expected to commit to a minimum of one evening shift and one weekend every two weeks.

Starting wage will reflect the current certification and experience level.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a current, acceptable Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector, upon hire.
